The brass looks like it has all been polished. See the picture of the tip- there is no soot around the torch tip at all.

Stainless steel tubes have all been cleaned to look like new. It has the red caps over the ends. The only way I have to test the torch is to blow air through it and when I do, the valves and switch seem to work just fine.
