I like that Masterworks allows me to work with vector based graphics and I can control the design by adding and reducing points along curves. I also like the stitch out feature to watch how the design will stitch. I like that I can modify this too.

We simply want a way to convert a common file type into this embroidery friendly file type so we can save money on the conversion every time we have a project. We do various small batch and feel a software conversion tool would save us money on long run. You can convert files from one format to another, change colors, and also rotate the design. It even will print a template of your design.

This helps with lining up and centering the design on your embroidery blank. The one weird thing about my editor was it converted several files on my computer to. It turns out I had selected one of the wrong stipulations about how it would handle. So, be on the lookout for this! Bernina Artlink 8 is another basic free embroidery editing software with similar capabilities to the other free embroidery programs on this list.
